About Me
From a young age I knew exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up. I was confident that I would become an astronaut. Then I said I would be a fashion designer, a professional dancer, a NASCAR driver... I had big dreams. I ended up going to Clemson University for Mechanical Engineering and quickly realized that was not for me either. When I inevitably ended up in summer school in 2017,  I came across the school of Graphics on campus and the lithographic printing press screamed my name. It was all downhill from there.
Graphic Communications ended up being a major that was tailor-made for me. The program was a combination of print production, graphic design, the full Adobe Creative Suite (heavy on Photoshop), web design/development, photography, videography, the art of telling stories visually, and so much more. I absolutely loved it. I even enjoyed the classes that most students hated, like Typography, for example.
I graduated from Clemson mid-pandemic and struggled to find a job, much like everyone else in 2020. I eventually landed in an Account Coordinator position at a small marketing company based out of Atlanta, GA. They were grateful for my background in graphics, I was delighted to assist their artworks department when they needed an extra hand.
Ending up in NYC was never a part of my "plan". Words can't express the excitement I felt when I got the offer call from NBC Universal for the Graphics Producer position with MSNBC. Less than a month later I was sitting at a desk in 30 Rockefeller Plaza. It's truly been a dream and I'm extremely thankful for every opportunity that's come my way. I'm beyond excited to see what the future holds, and the impact I'll continue to make in the world of graphics.
